European Health Catapult | The Innovation Challenge by EIT Health
Training and selection events, called semi-finals, will be held in autumn 2019 separately for the 3 categories. Each Semi-Final hosts 14 international start-ups. Half of them will have a chance to participate in the Final.
“Normally in those competitions 1/3 projects should never appear, another 1/3 are not well presented, 1/3 good. Here, no single outliner that would not be worth attention”
Clas Runnberg, Market economist and ex-Senior Medtech executive in Sweden, U.S.A and The NetherlandsJury, Grenoble Semi-Final, EHC 2018 Edition
Day 1 & 2 – mentoring & training
During two first days of a semifinal participating start-ups are teamed up with mentors (experienced entrepreneurs, investors and international experts) to strengthen the company’s value proposition. Mentors review and potentially optimise the company’s business plan and provide intensive pitch training in order to improve the start-ups abilities to perform a funding roadshow in front of international seed or A series investors.
Day 3 – public event: competition and investor meetings
On the third day, all semi-finalists pitch in front of a jury and audience of market experts and a crowd of investors. The top half of the companies is selected as finalists and invited to pitch in Paris at the EIT Health Summit 2019.
